We’re home! Over the past 33 days we have happily drove 13,440 KM / 8,351.4 miles. During our travels we went through 18 US states.
The truck pulled well, fuel mileage was decent considering the terrain. Total trip average was 17.5 L/100km or 13.4 mpg. Diesel cost went from $3.89 to $6.27 gal. We also consumed 80L of DEF (diesel exhaust fluid) which was $9.97 / 10L at Walmart.
Overall the truck and trailer worked great. We always had more than enough power and had no issues with the truck. The trailer backup camera didn’t work for the middle of the trip, but recovered for the drive home. Kids traveled happy and Tracy is the best navigator and copilot.
