Every time we get to a new National Park I think that it’s not as nice as the last…but then we start exploring and there is something totally unique and wonderful about it.
We got up before the sun to get a parking spot near Canyon Overlook Trail. It is on the East side of the tunnel. Joel said it was funny to drive on the right side of the road this trip through because yesterday when we drove through with the trailer we had to get a permit to drive down the middle of the tunnel because we are so big.
The highlights of this trail was watching the Desert Bighorn Sheep magically run around on the cliffs, watching a little wedding at the top, and seeing the switchbacks of the road below us. My favourite thing was feeling the sun come up over us, lighting up the cliff walls and then us.
